For generations, people entered the mountains of the Banat in search of what the earth kept hidden.

At Ocna de Fier, they followed veins of ore through the rock. They knew the weight of stone, the darkness of a gallery, the patience it took to bring something precious into the light.

They searched for treasure in the mountain.

The treasure was also the water.

Quietly, it moved through fractured rock, gathering a mineral character shaped by the land around it. Unseen, uncelebrated, it was already part of this place.

Long before anyone called it AUR’A.

Today, laboratory analysis reveals a remarkable detail of that composition: minute traces of gold and silver, measured in nanograms per liter. Almost beyond imagination in their smallness, yet present—a connection between the water and the mineral wealth of its origin.

But a laboratory can tell only part of a story.

There is also the moment someone recognizes the value of what has always been close to home. The decision to care for it. The work of bringing it to others without letting its origin become an afterthought.
